2015 Brighton & Hove Hotelier Awards – Fingers crossed!
We’re just over a week away from our annual Brighton & Hove Hotelier Awards.
We have over 400 people attending and almost all work in some shape or form in the Brighton hospitality industry. We are very proud of our sector which we believe is a key part of the visitor experience. The night is a chance for us to let our hair down and celebrate those who have been shortlisted and the winners of the awards.
Which brings me on to the second reason. Strawberry Fields has been shortlisted for not one, not two, but three awards. The first nomination is for Warmest Welcome in the small hotel category. This is a great achievement for the Strawberry Fields team and we work hard with all our staff to make sure our guests feel welcome and looked after. Our other nominations are for Manager of the Year for Anna our Operations Manager who has been with us for nearly 10 years and has worked her way up from house keeper to her current role and who thoroughly deserves this. And our third nomination is for Andrei our maintenance man and night porter for the Unsung Hero Award. Andrei has consistently gone out of his way – and beyond his role – to help guests and again this is completely deserved.
So we’re all looking forward to the night and an opportunity for everyone to dress up, drink far too much and then embarrass themselves on the dance floor although not too much in our case as we are taking all our staff and they are all proficient with their smartphone cameras. I don’t need reminding of my dance moves throughout the year!
So on Wednesday 18 November all will be revealed, please keep your fingers crossed for us…
